Natural gas pipeline operator Energy Transfer Partners LP reported fourth-quarter 2016 loss of 7 cents per limited partner unit. The Zacks Consensus Estimate was of earnings of 20 cents per limited partner unit. The bottom line also e compared unfavorably with the year-ago quarter profit of 2 cents per limited partner unit.
Quarterly revenues increased to $6,526 million from $5,825 million a year ago. The top line also beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $5,713 million.
Quarterly Cash Distribution
Last month, Energy Transfer Partners announced fourth-quarter distribution of $1.055 per unit ($4.22 per unit annualized). This cash distribution remained unchanged on a sequential basis.
EBITDA & Operating Income
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter were $1,430 million compared with $1,357 million a year ago.
The partnership’s operating loss of $165 million compared unfavorably with an income of $187 million in fourth-quarter 2015.
